your home country but there is places to change your money like the Cuban
airport or the hotel front desk where you are staying. Do not bring American money.

Voltage

electricity is 110 volts, 60Hz, most hotels and resorts have 220 volts. If you
bring any electrical appliance, check the hotel volts to see if you need an
adaptor or converter. The electrical outlets take flats plug prongs.

When to go to Cuba The rainy, hot seasons runs from May-October. The winter runs from December – April
which is the island’s peak tourist season. The Cubans holidays are around July and
August, so this is when the local beach gets crowded. The hurricane season in
Cuba usually runs June to November. It your preference, when you want to go,
there isn’t a bad time to visit Cuba.

Departing
Cuba – Arrive at least two hours
before your flight leaves, but if you could its recommended for three hours. You
will need to have 25 convertible pesos for departure tax for each person. This
must be paid after check-in to be able to leave. Make sure you have your second
portion of the tourist card this must be handed in at immigration at departure.

Bottled water is advised for the first few weeks of stay and its
recommend that you keep using bottle water. The main water is chlorinated and
although it’s safe, it may cause mild abdominal upsets. Seafood, local meat,
fruits and poultry are considered generally safe to eat.
